47th Annual
TCMG/ARR Conclave

October 10-12, 2003

The Annual Gathering of the

TC Motoring Guild
and the
Abingdon Rough Riders

Celebrating the 47th year
of the two TC only clubs getting together.

Another Glorious Conclave is now behind us. Everyone had a grand time even though the TC drivers shrank a bit. 12 TC's were present. At least a couple more were scheduled but brake failure knocked one out (Crandall) and lack of room for gear caused another TC to be swapped for a Porsche (Lutz). Gene Wescott pressed on and completed the trek in TC despite oil pressure concerns. Everyone enjoyed catching up on friendships and remembering past Conclaves. Thank you to Bob Wilmer for making all the arrangements.

Those in attendance were:

Frank & Carol Borgardt  (with TC)
Gordon & Fumi Bundy

Bill does a tachometer disassembly while Betty supervises.

Gene explains to Leo about how he developed his "dust repelling black paint"

Enjoying a relaxing afternoon.
Laughing about how NOT using a magnifing mirror can get rid of wrinkles.

Allan inspects a new clear plastic hood on a TC.

Dwane and Gene talk about who will buy their 3rd TC next.

Bob and Bill map out the route home.

Rich and Judy Storms proudly show off their georgous TC.

Bob & Beverly Moore with equally stunning TC.

Doug & Ilene Wimer who made it out from Utah by way of Texas

While there was no line-up of faithful Conclavers,
the pictures below seem to tell another story.

OK, this is a good start for a line-up of us all.

These four have gotten the idea.

Ed and Allan decide to align the carburetors while waiting for everyone to get this line-up worked out.

Carol says, "FALL IN"

Say why don't we line up over here in the shade where it is cooler?

David & Frank can't figure out what the big deal is.

A little discussion on if a semi-circle might work out better.

Betty ponders where to stand.

"I give up," says Bob. "
