GoF West 2002
Durango, Colorado
June 24-28

Alan Chalmers riding co-pilot.

Phil Marino giving his opinion
(yes, hard to believe but true)
to Suzanne, Pete and Joan

It is Doug and Ilene Wimer looking very spiffy in their TC. Ilene looks quite happy. Doug appears a little concerned. Probably wondering how his llamas are doing back in Utah.

Gene Wescott flies down from Alaska to LA so he can drive the TC to Colorado.
What a trooper.

George Kershaw with a big grin. Probably found a TC model at the flea market.

(George, you gotta put on a good poker face if you want to get the price down.)

Above: Pete and Fran Thelander at the beginning of the rally. Fran indicates they need to turn left out of the parking lot. Pete wants to know if that translates to (Near) or (Off) side.

Above left: Alan and Karen Moote. Karen's plan is to not worry about the rally directions, but to just follow Pete and Fran. That way they will be still speaking to each other at the end.

Left: Gene and Deana Roth. Gene is worried as he checks all the instruments. The clock is running 17.8 seconds slow and may affect the rally outcome.

Alan and Phil exchange quips during the flea market.

Gene to Barry Briskman: I'll swap you this nifty hat for the apron.

Guild members Willie Williams from Hawaii, and Gene Roth are joined by friend John Hancock from New Zeland.

There has got to be a story behind the MG logos on their foreheads.

The steam train trip was quite spectacular.

Good thing it doesn't wander like a TC does.

The fires came close to the GoF. Flames could be seen from the hotel. This shot is from the
train trip.

Terry and Allan stop at the Roadkill Cafe on old Route 66 in Arizona. I'm sure it was tasty.

There is a theory going around that TC's evolved from tractors. Well Alan Moote may have found the missing link on his visit to Durango.

Two beautiful TC's parked by the Grand Canyon on the way to GoF West 2002 in Durango

And the troupe to go along with the TC's, Gene Wescott, Pete & Fran Thelander plus the Kershaws grand daughter Megan.

Guild member Larry Long was also at the Gof however the camera missed him. Sorry!
