Wednesday Car Display (continuation)

Bill Sopkins and Marion Goldstein beside their fresh re-restoration.

Deana Roth takes a nap in the TC
while Betty and Marilyn wait in line
for their turn.

Lloyd Hendrickson bringing his magnificent TC over to the display area. A real beauty but funny sounding as a mysterious knock appeared. Lloyd's TC brought in 3rd Place in TC Car Display. Good going.

Don McLish didn't bring his TC but rather his "Surfin' TF"   He made a rack that used existing bolts and holes so as not to permanently modify the TF.  After the display Don was seen hitching up the TF to his big fancy Hummer to be towed home. He explained the Hummer was needed for the family members to ride in.

Sign spotted on TC. Not a Guild member's TC though as we all know our TC's never break down.

Betty Gaw looks over the TC she once owned and is now in the hands of Lloyd Hendrickson. Marilyn Maxwell also looks on and relives memories.

Chris Nowlan shows off his foot well air conditioning modification in his L2 still in progress of being finished.  Poor Chris.  He received the engine back from England after a rebuild and spent many an hour hooking it all up. He fired it up and ran it for a brief check. All OK. He then put water in the cooling system and found a leaking head.  Rebuilder goofed.

Betty Gaw and Gene Wescott discovered a speck of dust on Gene Roth's TC.  Gene blows it off and it is pure again.

Not the car display but the reserved parking for MGs
next to the Queen Mary

Thursday - Day of the Funkhana

Gene's daughter threw darts while Gene thinks, "Get those sharp pointed things out of the TC."

David & Joyce Edgar pulled 1st Place for driver and navigator in the Funkhana-Cart Sprung class (TC's)

Pete Thelander blows up a balloon before their run. Fran later held the balloon under the front tire of the TC and the pop was the starting gun for the clock to start timing their run.

Kevin Kershaw does the backing up exercise in her TD with granddaughter Meagan coaches. The Kershaw's TD received
2nd Place in TD Car Display

Larry Long just threw the beach ball toward the net. Not an easy thing to do from the seat of a TC and with the wind blowing. Looking at Larry and Chris' expressions, can you tell if the ball went in?

Fran is fishing blind (blacked out goggles) while Pete gives her direction to land the right prize winning plastic fish.

Friday - Day of the Winner's Circle

Gene and Deana Roth pull a 1st Place in the TC Division Car Display.  Congratulations

Congratulations also to Lloyd & Carolyn Hendrickson for receiving 3rd Place in TCs.

And congratulations to Larry & Barbara Long, who received a Merit Award for their TC.

There were so many beautiful TCs out there it was almost impossible to narrow down which to vote for.

Along with the Roth's TC, Guild member Willie Williams won 1st Place TF Division and George & Kevin Kershaw received a 2nd Place TD Division.
