February 26,
TC Motoring Guild General Meeting

==In the parking spaces just outside the door to our meeting room were parked a 1925 Vauxall and an Elva race car. Needless to say, we hung around outside for quite awhile admiring these beauties before entering in. Oh yes, there were two TC too.

==Our president, Ron Simon, called our second meeting of the year to order at 8:25 by banging on the raffle can as he had forgotten the gavel. Everyone ignored the clanging so he did it again and we all settled in.

==Ron gave us the run down on the mail. One item was from the GoF West committee asking for a donation to the raffle. There was a motion on $100 towards the purchase of some item to be picked out by Mike Goodman. We voted and it passed.

==Stan Belland our Progam Chair introduced our two guests for this evening. Gary Byrd and Kent Wakeford were here to sit on the "Old Geezers Racing Panel." They would be joined by TCMG members Ron Simon and Pete Thelander later in the program.

==Minutes were read from the January meeting. No one objected or had corrections so I guess they were OK.

==The treasurers report was a little different. Everyone got a copy of a budget for the year with the income and expenses so far this year. We were all impressed. Bottom line is we have had $2,049.55 of income and $654.87 of expenses so far this year with a bank balance of $4,694.51. Big items were the dues on the income side and the newsletter on the expense side. Joyce also reported that she switched the type of account we have with the bank and no longer will incur the $10 monthly service fee if we maintain at least a $2,500 balance. Joyce also mentioned that Nancy McKarney had gotten us free web site space as a favor but we would have to start paying soon as the favor was almost paid up. It was motioned, seconded, voted on and passed that we allow funds to keep the club web site going.

==Stan gave us the line up on programs for the remainder of the year. Carl Cederstrand will be here next month to give us the low down on SU fuel pump windings.

==A quick report on the Alaska trip indicated there were 5 couples going (Simon, Chalmers, Crandall, Pedersen, Einhorn) plus Sharon and Annabel. Others can still join in if the boat is not full.

==Harvey Schnaer announced that March 1st would be the 50th anniversary of when he had bought his TC. Joe Douglas threw in that he had bought his TC new in December of 1949.

We adjourned the meeting at 8:53
