In keeping with his presidential theme of starting on time, Stan called our meeting to order promptly at 8:00. Everyone in the front (composed mostly of the male gender) took notice and came to order. The back half of the room (composed entirely of the female persuasion) were not quieting down so Stan mentioned that it looked like we were going to have to hold joint meetings - front and back. First Lady Esther, made a comment about how they controlled the refreshments to which Stan retracted his statement and everyone smiled. We forwent the reading of the minutes of the last meeting as they were in the Midget Chassis. Financial report by Joyce was posted on the wall for review. We had a bank balance of $6560 and of that $3,454 was not encumbered by the budget. Joyce also reported that we received another new member, Steve & Rosemary Guttormsson from Minnesota with TC 3995. This brings us up to 95 members. Future programs for our meeting was reviewed by Gordon Glass. Next month we will meet at the Simon Auto Museum for old movie night. October brings us the Halloween Pot Luck Dinner. Esther passed a dinner sign-up sheet around. David Coleman went over our events for the remainder of the year. September brings us the Ventura Kinetic Race tour. October is the TCMG/ARR Conclave at Sky Ranch. Al Moss has a Palm Springs Air and Auto Museum event in November some of us are going to. David Edgar indicated that Larry Long has agreed to put on a weekend event to replace the Santa Barbara event. After discussion members decided they preferred another Santa Barbara weekend. As November was fairly busy already it was decided that doing it in February and combining with our Lame Duk Kite Fly was a good idea. The subject of our raffle held at each meeting was presented. Discussion included holding it every other month, raising prices to help cover the cost and we discussed the quality of the prizes. It was decided to keep the raffle at most regular meetings (skip at July picnic, September movie night, and December Holiday Party). We would limit prizes to one nice and one decent prize rather than many smaller ones. Prices would remain at 3 tickets for $5.00. We would try promoting the raffle by advertising past winners and future prizes. |

Stan mentioned that Sharon had just celebrated her birthday a few days ago on the 23rd while Annabel's was coming up on the 28th. He then announced David Edgar's birthday was today. A round of Happy Birthday was sung. We were given an update on the Holiday Party. Sunday evening, December 7 at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City. We then ended the business part of the meeting at 8:48 to let Tony set up his MG "L" presentation.
