TC Motoring Guild General Meeting

(left to right) - Ann, Larry Haile, Bob Wilmer, Charlotte Wilmer, Stan Belland, Sharon Goodman, Gene Olson

Our TC Motoring Guild Halloween Party was a big success, with lots of people to laugh at, good food and conversation. Some of the members homes were threatened with the fires.  David & Joyce Edgar's home was too close to the fires to leave home, but thankfully they are fine. Also Gene & Karen Olson's home came very close to the Simi Valley fire. They opened the road so they both were able to come to the party.

In attendance dressed in costume was, Our President, Stan presiding in a wolf mask. Sharon Goodman as a Witch with a scary green faced mask, Gene Olson came as a fencer, complete with foil and face shield. Larry Haile dressed as a Monk and his friend Ann as a Nun. Jay Call came into the party carrying 2 gallons of cider. Stan said "I love your costume". Jay said "what costume?" Stan said "Ciderman!!!" Also in attendance was, Esther Belland, David & Suzie Coleman, Joe Douglas, Gordon & Mimi Glass, Bob & Annabel Goldstein, Tony & Cindy Henkels, Ron & Bobbie Simon and Harvey Schnaer.

The Wilmers won the prize dressed as Vampires, complete with fangs. The prize was a TC Model Car.

The nominations were made for the new board for next year.

The Palm Springs event with Al Moss next Thursday was talked about, and the next meeting at the Goodman's house.

The treasurers report was read by Stan.

Also, the holiday party was talked about and the flyer in the Midget Chassis was mentioned for people to fill out and send in. Harvey said he didn't get one, we think he threw it away thinking it was a bill!!!

The raffle was a BIG sucess!! Tony had bought a really nice, very soft, imitation suede jacket and I sewed a TCMG patch on the front of it. It was very nice and everyone wanted to win it. The winner was Bob Wilmer. Also, raffled off was a hat, won by Suzie Coleman, and a bag of Meguire's car polish won by Jay Call.

President Stan Belland and suede jacket for raffle.

Esther had decorated the tables and room with a garland of pumpkins, a skeleton, spiderweb and Halloween tablecloths. She did a great job, everything looked very festive. We adjourned to have our Lasagna, salads and dessert. We all ate and talked toooo much as usual!!!
