| Just a small portion of the TC models George Kershaw had brought to display. He also had a fine assortment of badges that will be made up into a display. | |||||||||

We began our meeting a couple minutes after 8:00 as there was quite a bit of activity with members setting up their Hobby Night displays. Gene Olson call the meeting to order and asked Joyce for a treasurers report. She said the report was posted on the wall for those interested in the figures. She also reported that we had 98 members paid up and that tonight was the last night for ordering the TCMG shirts and satchels. The secretaries minutes of the last meeting was called for next. It was printed in the last Classic Chassis and accepted as printed. George Kershaw talked on the meeting programs. Tonight was obviously the Hobby Night as evidenced by all the articles around the room. In May Pete Thelander will present a chronology of MG. June will be "My Other Classic Car" followed by our picnic in July at the Henkels home. August is still open at this time. Our fearless Events Chair, Jay Call not present due to illness but we talked about having a wildflower tour in May. Would probably be held May 8th or 15th (leaning towards the 8th) but depends on the flowers being in bloom. Joe will check it out. June tour should be our Western Heritage Museum tour. A report on our Route 66 Desert Rat Cinder Cone Tour was given by those that had attended. Weather was just great out there despite the heat back home. The 12 attendees had a most wonderful time. Well 10 did anyway. The leader, Jay Call, became ill Friday night and spent the weekend in the Barstow Community Hospital. Jackie stayed close by with him. Jay is home now but is scheduled for more doctor visits. We discussed a bit more of our 50th TCMG Anniversary. A lapel pin was thought to be a good idea and we leaned toward making up a special badge rather than a guard to go around the current badge. Tony Henkels will look into design and make up of articles. George asked that we approve a donation to the GoF 2004. He thought we usually gave $200 but in years past we had given closer to $100 depending on what exactly we bought to donate to the auction. Motion was passed with amount to be determined by gift bought but not to exceed $200. Minutes submitted by Secretary, Dave Edgar |
