TC Motoring Guild
General Meeting and Picnic
The call to order by our President Gene Olson was made at 8:06 this fine evening. He sported a T-shirt from his recent vacation to which read, "South Dakota's ONLY Outhouse Museum." He filled us in on the two story outhouse (upper level for deep snow winter use) and a few other oddities.

Minutes of the last meeting was accepted as printed in the recent Midget Chassis.

Joyce was next up with the treasurer's report which said we had $7,408.97. However $4,891.29 of that is already allocated, so that leaves us with $2,517.68 to play with. In regard to the Holiday Party, Art requested that we up the club subsidy from $1000 to $1250. In an email vote by the board, the request was approved. Cost to membership for the party will be $25 per person (beer, wine, soda included with meal).

Always something to talk about at a TCMG meeting. "Isn't that just like women? Just standing around talking."

As Membership Chair, Joyce also reported we gained a new membership, John & Chris Setar from San Antonio, TX, which brings us to 99 members now.

Tonight's program according to George Kershaw, is Nostalgia II. Jim Crandall brought out the 16mm silent film produced by Jim back in 1976 depicting a TCMG road race. September brings us to the Simon Auto Museum. October is our potluck/costume night (come dressed as a TC part). November is still open but possibly a report by Pete Thelander on Watkins Glenn and December is our holiday party at the Ludwick's new home.

Events chair Jay Call was absent tonight but he is working on a tour in the Palomar Mtn/Temecula area. On September 18th Gene Olson will again lead us to the Ventura Kinetic Races. October is our Conclave plus George Kershaw indicated that there will be another MG track tour at Laguna Seca on Oct 30-31. Also mentioned was the November 7th Woodley Park Auto Show.

The prototype of our new badge is being made up. Once OK'd our order will be completed. Maybe we can have for next meeting. We also questioned if patches could be made up. Tony said the same company doing our badges can have patches made up as well. He will get some price quotes on those next.

Tony had some nice raffle prizes. Zip ties, flashlight set and a very nice MG logo cut from stainless steel.

Jim Crandall won the zip ties, and below Lloyd and George show off the prizes they won.
The 1976 Crandall film epic was shown. Ron set up his old 16mm projector and we got a good kick out of seeing how young we once were.

1976 - the year the Bob & Charlotte Wilmer joined the TCMG. You should have seen Charlotte playing the part of a teeny bopper starting the mock race up.
