January 27th
TC Motoring Guild General Meeting

Before handing over the President's gavel, Stan Belland thanked Joe Douglass for his many years of service of arranging our meeting room and picking up the key each month.

Gene Olson heads up his first Guild meeting.

As the last official act of his presidential term, Stan Belland called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m.  Stan presented Joe Douglas one of the new TCMG totes for his many years of getting the key to our meeting room. Joe is one of our unsung heros. (By the way the totes were made up by Art Ludwick for the Holiday Party auction and are available as regalia a limited time, see page 8). Stan then presented the presidential gavel to our new president, His Excellency, Gene Olson.

Without delay Gene bypassed the reading of the November minutes as they were presented in the last newsletter. On to the Treasurer's report where Joyce reported we have $7,480 in funds with $5104 expected expenses for the year leaving $2376 unencumbered. Membership renewals were sent out with newsletters and returns are starting to come in.

George Kershaw gave the run down on programs for the year. He has many nice things lined up and has slots open for several meetings which still need filling. Art Ludwick volunteered his new home as a location for the Holiday Party this year. We will try to stay away from Dec.
4-5 weekend to avoid AAR and VMG holiday parties. Possibly looking at around December 11 as a date.

Jay Call announced tour plans for the year. Some exciting things coming up. Kite Fly is February 15, Desert Rat Cinder Cone weekend is in works for possibly March 12-14. Laguna Seca is honoring MG at the Historic Race weekend on March 20-21. Further into the year is a possible Santa Barbara Weekend in April, San Diego Double Day in May, Western Heritage Museum Tour and also a garage tour in June, an auto museum tour in August, Kinetic Sculpture Tour in September, Conclave in October and possible Death Valley weekend in November

Old business brought up the subject of the wonderful Holiday Party we had. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Art (with help from Sara) was spectacular in getting us to make $1400 in the auction. Thanks to Bobbie, Ester and Joyce for all the planning and to everyone who attended for making it an enjoyable evening.

As we had no other new business, Tony showed off the jacket and the car clock that were the raffle prizes for the evening. Jackie Call won the jacket. and Bob Wilmer won the clock.
We broke for dessert and gab while Pete Thelander set up the PowerPoint presentation on Fran and his trip to Ireland to run his NE in the Ard's Tourist Trophy Anniversary celebration.
