This meeting was totally backwards. We usually conduct business, have dessert and then go to the program. Well with the car show program we started with that since it was still light outside. Fran had gone for ice cream as part as the dessert but found the refrigerator in the meeting room was not working so we partook in the dessert before the ice cream got too soft. We then started the business part of the meeting at 8:23 PM.
The usual magazines and newsletters in our mail were presented. Nothing out of the ordinary or new.

Minutes from previous meeting were in the Midget Chassis. No corrections were noted.
Treasurer/Membership report put us with $6,467.75, of which $2,849.72 is not earmarked for something already. Membership rose to 99 members with the addition of Dennis & Susan Johnson from Fresno.

Pete introduced Pete - Pete Henderson that is. Pete had bought a TC and was referred to Tony Henkels as someone who might help him in straightening it up. Turns out upon contacting each other that they already knew each other when they worked at the same place back in 1946 or so. Pete is also in to vintage racing and has both a sprint car and a midget racer (which of all things has a Henderson motorcycle engine in it). Pete asked us to send him the TCMG membership info. His membership would bring us up to 100 members again.

PARKING LOT
CAR SHOW

Meeting program for this evening the Parking Lot Car Show and radio control car fun. July is our traditional picnic at the Henkels (celebrate our 50th year of incorporation), and the Simon Auto Museum meeting was moved up to August. Our Halloween costume and potluck dinner is scheduled for October leaving September and November still open at this time. Having Bobbie'dine Rodda come out was mentioned with some Frank Mason stories. Harvey will call and between her and him (both hard of hearing) maybe something can be arranged or totally confused.

Events: The cherries were ripe so the Cherry Pickin' tour happened. Four TCs out and everyone had tons of fun. GoF is the big event in July while a Nethercutt Museum facilities tour is set for sometime in September. Of course October is our Conlcave (Oct 7-9).

Joyce again reminded everyone to hold December 10th open as that is our Holiday Party and will be in San Diego this year. Plans are progressing nicely on that.
And with no other business at hand we then adjourned.

Minutes taken by Secretary,
David Edgar

George shows off his very, very clean '67 MGB-GT. Chris Nowlan did the restoration when he owned it.

Pete Henderson trying to figure out just what Gene Olson's 3-wheel creation is.

A BMW, a "B" and something else called a TC. David actually talked about his TC but nobody was behind the camera to snap.

THE PEOPLE & THE CARS

David & Lucy McCanne making a rare appearance. He is trying to get his TC ready for GoF.

Lloyd and Pete Henderson probably talking about racing.

Fran ready to dish it out.

Harvey explained that his 1960 Bentley was formerly owned by Debbie Renolds.

Pete Thelander shows off the PT Cruiser. Moss even has a catalog for it. Now does "PT" stand for Pete Thelander or PeTe?

Ron is proud of his zippy BMW

And the Henkels show up in style with their '28 Lincoln.

THE COMPETITION

Gene Olson brought a couple radio control cars for everyone to try out on the race track.
