TC Motoring Guild's

Another Dam Tour

June 22, 2003

Four TC's made it out for the perfect weather day. Joe Douglas had his out as well as Jon & Betsy Lutz.  Paul & Kathy Gulsrud got their TC out again for their second Guild tour this year as did Gene Olson (one of the organizers of the tour) doing a second shake down tour in his TC.  Also on the tour in "other makes" were Tony & Cindy Henkels, Bob & Annabel Goldstein, Bob & Charlotte Wilmer, Arnold Douglas (Joe's son on a Triumph motorcycle) and Jay and Jackie Call (the other half of the tour planners). Jackie is a Professor of Geology at Valley College and explained the geology and history of the second largest disaster (loss of life) in California history; the collapse of the St. Francis Dam.  Cindy brought a notebook filled with pictures she found on the internet showing the destruction and some history of the dam collapse.

The tour went up San Fransisquito Canyon to the area
where the old St. Frances Dam was.
