Lee’s parents, Erwin & Jen Ashenfelter, were long-time members of the TC Motoring Guild and very active with the club in the 60’s and early 70’s. Their TC originally sold new in California in 1949 and original color was Ivory. Irwin bought the TC in 1963. Prior owner Gene White (1950) raced at Torrey Pines, Riverside, and San Bernardino tracks. He held the TC track record of 79.8 in ΒΌ mile, clocked at 105 mph with supercharger back in the 1960s. The TC was abandoned in 1958, then later restored to near original condition and used for rallies, daily transportation, concours, etc.
