John writes:
I have the original British registration book for 2742. According to this book, I am the 11th owner. The car was imported by a US serviceman in December, 1969. Bruce Young, Director Emeritus of The New England M.G. T Register bought the car in 1970 and started an extended restoration. After passing through two more owners I was able to purchase the car on July 27th 2009 in Austin, Texas. Under my ownership, it has achieved several first place awards and has advanced to the Octagon of Honor class in the Texas MG Registry. The award I’m most proud of is the Driver’s Award which is presented by the Houston MG Club to the car driven the most number of miles to club events.

Modifications: Alfin brake drums 4 row radiator and MGB fan. Removable auxiliary rear lights (reproduction Model A Ford items).

4438 ws originally registered as LVT 650. Owned by my brother from 1991 until his death in November, 2007. Currently undergoing a complete restoration.

John also owns a 1957 Ford Thunderbird (awaiting restoration), 1956 Ford F-100, and 1991 Mazda Miata (awaiting “classic” status).
