The date for our annual conclave with the Abingdon Rough Riders has been set for October 3-5.

TC participation in a 2014 driving event hit a new high this month with 12 TCs (out of 18 cars total) taking part in our “Wine Country Weekend”.

On May 27, come celebrate our 60th anniversary with presentations and discussion about the history of our club. Learn of its beginnings, hear stories from those who were there and see scrapbooks of photos and artifacts fromClick to enlarge the earliest days of the club through modern day. Members are encouraged to bring their own pieces of TC Motoring Guild history to share with others. This is one you don’t want to miss!

To wet your appetite, take a look at the accompanying photo. Why was Jim Bradeson’s TC rolled into his living room one evening in 1956? Be at our meeting to find out!

Our April meeting had 23 members in attendance with 4 TCs (Edgar, Simmons, Mclish, Loe). Thanks to Linda Simmons for arranging our puzzle night with custom TCMG / ARR Conclave puzzles.

cherries On Saturday, June 14, take part in a fun day of driving along country roads and picking your own cherries right from the trees in the orchards of scenic Leona Valley. cherry-pickingYou will find new ways to enjoy fresh cherries once you get home, assuming you haven’t eaten your entire load already!

This is a great event for kids, too. Additional details including meeting time and place will be provided soon.

In all, 37 TCMG members and 12 TCs took part in our Wine Country Weekend event in May.  Our event coordinator Steve Simmons would like to extend a huge thanks to those who helped make it such a success, including Linda Simmons who provided an amazing brunch for everyone, John and Linda Wright who opened their home and car collection to us, and to John Wright Jr. for hosting our lunch and wine tasting at his winery, Standing Sun Wines, in Buellton.
