TC Provenance List Being Updated and Modernized by TCMG
The well known TC Provenance List was created by TC owner Bob Stein well over a decade ago. Steve Simmons has assisted with data submissions and updates for the past few years but the list has grown too large to manage by hand. TC Motoring Guild has jumped in to help update, modernize and maintain the list. Two of our members, Mike Simmons and Steve Simmons are currently working to convert years of hand typed notes into a sorted and organized database of TC car numbers, owner names, locations and historical data. The project will take a tremendous amount of man hours but the end result will be a fully modern and searchable database, hosted on the TCMG website. You can see the old hand-typed Provenance List HERE until the new version is completed.
Our next monthly meeting will be held on Zoom on May 28th. The evening’s program will include various members’ projects both new and old. Attendees are encouraged to share info and photos of their TC or other interesting / related projects with the group. Photos can be shared directly on that night, or sent ahead of time to Joyce Edgar who will display them for you as you talk.
Note that anyone making a simulated journey to the meeting in a TC by driving a minimum of 10 miles on the day of the meeting will receive a point toward the Sargent Award.
April recap: 29 members attended our April meeting on Zoom. 7 TCs were driven a simulated journey to the meeting by Caccavo, Edgar, Lemieux, Lynge, S Simmons, Spiegel and Zucca. Thanks to Joyce Edgar for her presentation on GoF West.

Monthly Events
Join us for our next driving event on Sunday, May 26 in the Palos Verdes area. Participants will enjoy a driving tour around the peninsula, ending in San Pedro at Hollywood Vintage Trailer where extremely high end trailer restorations are performed. Focusing mostly on vintage Airstreams and art deco styling, this shop turns out some incredible camping, business and leisure trailers that are sold to clients including some of Hollywood’s top stars. The staff will show us some of their current projects and describe the process of restoration.
Details including meeting time and location are forthcoming.
April recap: 15 members with 9 TCs participated in our April event to Descanso Gardens. Those with TCs were Edgar, Hughes, Lemieux, Loe, Lynge, S Simmons, Ramos, St. Clair and Zucca.
Monthly DIY Tours
Keeping with the theme of this month’s driving tour, your task is to photograph your TC with anything that relates to Hollywood, Vintage, or Trailer. Drive at least 10 miles during your photo shoot to receive a point toward the Sargent Award. Photos must be submitted to Joyce Edgar by May 25th to receive credit and be included in our May meeting’s slide show.

We also welcome member biographies so your fellow TCMG’ers can learn a bit about you, your history with your TC or anything else you care to write about. Historic photos and stories are also being sought to expand our TCMG History section on the site. Please send what you have to Steve Simmons.
