MG TC – First Model In California

This article was written in 1962 for “Motoracing” by founding member Frank Mason.  An error spotted by David Edgar shows that while the article may be primarily true, TC 3601 could not have been delivered to Bates early in 1947.  Per the factory build dates, it was not even built until Sept. 18, 1947.  Perhaps this was a typo and should have read “delivered early in 1948” or even “late 1947”.
