Old TC Motoring Guild Film Discovered

TCMG Member Jim Crandall has just finished re-editing a 16mm film made by club members back in 1972.  Now set to music and with added credits identifying the players, this is a wonderful look into the past of not only our club but Southern California’s car scene as well.  The video was screened at our August meeting in San Diego during GoF West, but for those who missed it we present the video here.  You can also watch it on You Tube.

simon-museumNOTE REMOTE LOCATION: Our next monthly meeting on September 23 will be held at the Simon Auto Museum in Gardena.  Meeting begins at 7:00 PM.  Sit among the amazing cars and automobilia of TCMG members Ron and Dave Simon’s auto museum while enjoying our annual movie night!  Popcorn and refreshments will be provided.  Watch for a flyer in the mail with details on our feature presentation.

Our topic of discussion before the film will be GoF West.  Members are encouraged to bring their stories, awards or other items of interest.  A slide show will also be run with photos from GoF West.  Send any photos you would like included to Joyce Edgar by email.  GoF West Steering Committee members David Edgar and Steve Simmons will be in attendance to hear your thoughts on how to make the next GoF West even better than the last.  We hope you will be there to share your ideas, praise or criticism about the San Diego event so that it can be presented to the GoF West board at their next meeting.

See the Calendar Page for more program and event info.
