Upcoming Tech Session

On Sunday, August 26, Brian Wescott is volunteering his TC for a tech session on brake master cylinder replacement and general braking system inspection.  In addition to replacing a leaky master cylinder, we will be discussing what to look for during braking system maintenance to keep our TCs safe and reliable.  The tech session will take place at the Simmons’ garage.  Breakfast refreshments will be available.  If you plan to attend, please contact Steve Simmons for further details.

New Embroidered Hoodie Sweaters

Our popular TCMG hoodie zip-up sweat shirts are now being embroidered at no additional cost!  Both regular and lightweight versions now feature high quality embroidered logos and can be seen on our regalia page.

2018 Conclave Dates Announced

Our annual conclave with Abingdon Rough Riders will take place October 12-14 at Narrow Gauge Inn in Fish Camp, near Yosemite. Our host hotel is now full but there are still rooms available at our overflow location at “Best Western Yosemite Gateway Inn” in Oakhurst.  Make your reservations now!  Contact Allan Chalmers for further information.

NOTE REMOTE LOCATION! Our August meeting will be held on the 28th at the Simon Auto Museum in Gardena. TCMG Member Dave Simon will be giving us a presentation on the Simon brothers’ classic car rental business, telling the stories behind many of their cars and productions they have worked on.

July Recap: 18 members and guests were present for our July meeting.  Two TCs were driven by Simmons and Loe. Thanks to Don McLish for presenting an interesting and informative video on M.G. history.

For more meeting and event information, visit the Calendar Page.

events

Our September driving event will take us on a multi-day adventure north along the Sierra Nevada Mountains, through Gold Country and across to Lake Tahoe for GoF West.  This all-M.G. event runs September 10-14.  See the official GoF West website for more details.  For caravan information contact Pete Thelander, who is leading the combined TCMG and VMG caravan of T-Cars.

August Recap: More than 30 members and guests attended the Einhorn Hot Dog party.  Four TCs (Simmons, Loe, Edgar, Ockwell) took part in the short and confusing tour beforehand, with a fifth TC (Einhorn) on display at our destination. See the upcoming newsletter for more details.

Historic photos and stories are also being sought to expand our TCMG History section on the site. Please send what you have to Steve Simmons.
