One Of Our Own Remembered
Bob & Annabel Goldstein

Annabel and Bob Goldstein

We were just informed of the passing of Annabel Goldstein.  She had been in fragile health for some time and passed on February 18th.  Annabel and her late husband Bob, who we lost in 2012, were very active members of TCMG for many years.

Services are being held at the same location as Bob’s:

Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 1pm
Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary
6001 W Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045

New Regalia Item

We are pleased to offer these all new TCMG patches, for use on jackets, hats or anything else you can think of!  The high quality embroidery on these patches is far nicer than any we have offered in the past.  At 3.5″ in size, these patches are the perfect size for many applications.  See the regalia page for more information.

2018 Conclave Dates Announced

Our annual conclave with Abingdon Rough Riders will take place October 12-14 at Narrow Gauge Inn in Fish Camp, near Yosemite. Our host hotel is now full but there are rooms available at our overflow location at “Best Western Yosemite Gateway Inn” in Oakhurst. Contact Allan Chalmers for further information.

meetings

Our next meeting will be held on March 27 in Studio City. The evening’s program will be a video by TCMG member and MG guru Mike Goodman on T-Series fuel systems.  The video dates from 1986, produced by David Coleman and filmed by Doug Wimer, and covers all aspects of the fuel systems found in TCs including fuel tank fuel pump and carburetors.  Design and maintenance as well as various safety aspects will be discussed.

February Recap: 16 members plus one guest were present for our February meeting.  Two TCs braved the near freezing weather, driven by Loe and Simmons.  Special thanks to Mel Appell for his fascinating talk on the technology and experiences of ocean power cruising.

For more meeting and event information, visit the Calendar Page.

events

Our next event will be held on Saturday, April 21. Cruise through the rural areas of Northern Los Angeles County on this 70-mile tour, featuring a stop at The Halfway House for brunch. This out-of-the-way eatery was established in 1931 and hasn’t changed much since. Also enjoy some lesser used byways as we wind our way to where the food is.

Watch for a flyer in the mail with further information!

March Recap: Nine members and two TCs braved the stormy weather for a BBQ lunch and a visit to Andres Pico Adobe.  The TCs were driven by Loe and Simmons.  The rain cleared up several hours before the event, giving us a dry and pleasant afternoon.  See the upcoming newsletter for more details.
