Cliff Lemieux Completes Restoration

Cliff LemieuxOn the evening of May 28, our members discovered a new TC parked in front of our meeting room.  It was the freshly restored TC of Cliff Lemieux out for its first TCMG gathering.  Cliff and friend / mechanic Bob drove the TC 100 miles round trip entirely on side roads to attend.  Well done Cliff and Bob!

meetings

Our next monthly meeting will be held on July 23 at the usual Studio City location.  Our presenter for the evening is TCMG member Cliff Lemieux, who will be giving us a presentation on the restoration of his long-owned TC 6373.

Learn the trials and pitfalls of restoration, and why Cliff says you should never take your car apart!

June recap: 36 members and guests attended our June meeting, with four TCs parked outside driven by Hanes, Spiegel, Loe and Wescott, .  Thanks to Cindy Henkels for hosting the 21st annual picnic at her home!

events

On July 18, take a scenic drive along the Pacific Coast to the town of Camarillo where we visit the Commemorative Air Force Museum.  Docents will guide us through the museum, which houses many aircraft from the WWII era as well as artifacts and displays.  See aircraft from all corners of the globe including Mustang, Spitfire and Zero!  Also others including Hellcat and Bearcat, and larger aircraft like B-25 and C-46.  Lunch will follow at a restaurant located along the runway of the airport.  A flyer in the mail will have further info.  If you plan to attend this event, please let Steve Simmons know so we can tell the docents how many people to expect.

June Recap: Nearly 60 members and guests came to our 100th birthday celebration for our own Joe Douglass.  Four TCs graced the front of the building, driven by Hanes, Ramos, Simmons and Loe.  Thanks to Larry Einhorn for organizing a great event!
