Remembering Leo Pedersen

One of our long time members Leo Pedersen has passed away, leaving a big hole in our group of intrepid TC enthusiasts.  Leo along with his wife Martha was a regular at our northern events including annual Conclaves and was loved by all who were fortunate enough to know him.  His humor and wit, not to mention willingness to share his vast knowledge and experience about MGs will be sorely missed.

Read more about Leo’s life and M.G. travels in the December 2021 newsletter.

2021 Award Winners

Our congratulations also go out to the winners of the various TCMG awards for 2021:

  • Frank Mason Award – Joyce Edgar
  • Earl Sargent memorial Trophy – Richard & Sandra Loe
  • Iron Bottom – Richard & Sandra Loe
  • Breakdown Award – Cliff Lemieux

Having completed the year with a perfect attendance of TCMG activities with their TC, Richard & Sandra Loe have been presented the Iron Bottom Award for 2021. This achievement makes the Loes 7-time recipients of this difficult to obtain award.  Congratulations!

To learn more about these awards, including the various ways the breakdown award has been won, see the History Section of the web site.

meetings

The last meeting of the year was our annual holiday party, held on December 5.  The next monthly meeting will be held on January 25.  The program for the evening will be announced shortly.

December recap: 29 members and guests attended our first in-person meeting since the pandemic moved us to an online format. Two TCs were parked outside, driven by the Loes and Hunsberger.  Thanks to all who donated to the Children’s Fund.  TCMG donated a full TC worth of toys plus $1,500 cash!

Our driving events have concluded for the year.  Our next event will be the Lame Duk Kup in early 2022.  Stay tuned for info!

November Recap: Six members with four TCs braved the foggy morning weather to participate in the last driving event of the year, a tour and picnic in the Flintridge Foothills. TCs were driven by Loe, Simmons, Zucca and Hunsberger.
