Tight Competition for the Sargent Trophy!

The year is now halfway over, and the battle for the Sargent Trophy has been fierce!  The top three competitors are separated by only 1.5 points, and all three have had a perfect attendance thus far. Could this be the first time we’ve awarded three Iron Bottoms in a single year?

History Project Underway

Boxes of historical documents and artifacts dating back to the 1950’s and not seen in many years have recently been unearthed from the archives. A project to sort and preserves these items is currently underway. Look to future newsletters for interesting discoveries as the project develops.

Monthly Events

Our next event on August 26 will start with a one-hour scenic driving tour through the Santa Monica Mountains above Malibu.  Our destination is Point Dume and the home of TCMG member David Mathison.  An all you can eat taco bar will be on site to provide free lunch and drinks to attendees, and David’s pair of award-winning vintage motorcycles will be on display along with his other vehicles.

Please RSVP so we can get a head count for the caterer! RSVP Details will be found in the August newsletter and on our group email list.

Details on meeting time/location for the tour will be announced soon.  Driveway parking at our destination is limited and is reserved for TCs only please.  Others use street parking.  More event details will be provided as they become available.

Please RSVP to Joyce Edgar by August 20th.  See the club directory for phone / email or use the Contact Page on this website and select “Treasurer / Membership”.

June Recap: 34 members and guests driving 7 TCs (plus a Jaguar XK150 and a Shelby GT-350) attended our Annual Summer Picnic.  TCs were driven by Edgar, Lemieux, Loe, S. Simmons, Zucca, M. Simmons and Mathison. Thanks to the team of Steve & Linda Simmons for hosting this year’s picnic at their home!
