meetings

gordens-garageAt our next monthly meeting on March 22, TCMG member Gorden Bundy will give a presentation on the various projects he’s working on in his garage, including his TC, a recently acquired TF and his latest purchase, a custom enclosed trailer that was designed to carry a TD.  This will be an open discussion program where members (especially those with trailer experience) can give suggestions on various aspects of the work being performed.  There will also be a picture or two of other recent additions to his garage, a Ural motorcycle with side car and a BMW adventure bike.  This is sure to be a fun presentation!

Our program on the Pebble Beach Road Races at the February meeting was enjoyed by 24 members.  Two TCs graced the parking lot, driven by Loe and Simmons.

Malmut Museum

Join us on Saturday, March 19 for a trip to Mike Malmut’s Vintage Car Museum in Newbury Park. The museum is a private collection featuring an eclectic mix of vintage cars including a large number of micro cars and early air-cooled Porsches and VWs. There are also many American, British, French, German and Italian vehicles on display in addition to vintage gas pumps, televisions and radios, jukeboxes and more.

Malmut MuseumOur day starts in Malibu with breakfast and an incredible scenic drive through the Santa Monica Mountains and quiet country back roads, terminating at the museum. Lunch will follow the event at a nearby restaurant. This is an event not to be missed! Watch for a flyer in the mail with details on meeting time and location, as well as an ad in the March newsletter.

Lame Duk Kup Recap: Congratulations to Richard and Sandra Loe for winning the 2016 Lame Duk Kup Rallye! It was a fierce competition followed by the traditional attempts to cheat one’s way to victory during scoring. There were no losers however, as the roads were outstanding and the weather perfect.
