Battle Underway For The Earl Sargent Trophy

With the year halfway over, a heated battle is waging for the coveted Earl Sargent “Use it or Lose it” trophy.  The Simmons lead with a perfect attendance thus far, but the Loe team is hot on their heels, only half a point behind.  Who will come out on top?  And where will YOU place in the overall standings come December?  Bring your TC to meetings and events to gain points and climb the ranks!  See the Sargent Award Page for current standings and other info.

New Embroidered Hoodie Sweaters

Our popular TCMG hoodie zip-up sweat shirts are now being embroidered at no additional cost!  Both regular and lightweight versions now feature high quality embroidered logos and can be seen on our regalia page.

2018 Conclave Dates Announced

Our annual conclave with Abingdon Rough Riders will take place October 12-14 at Narrow Gauge Inn in Fish Camp, near Yosemite. Our host hotel is now full but there are still rooms available at our overflow location at “Best Western Yosemite Gateway Inn” in Oakhurst.  Make your reservations now!  Contact Allan Chalmers for further information.

meetings

Our next monthly meeting will be held on July 24 at our normal location in Studio City.  Our historian Don McLish will be presenting a video on the history of the M.G. marque.  Learn about the various models M.G. produced from the earliest days through the later years, many which are not commonly seen on our shores.

If you own an interesting M.G. that isn’t a TC, consider bringing it to show!

June Recap: Over 30 members and 6 TCs were present for our June meeting.  TCs were driven by Edgar, Simmons, Loe, Olson, Hanes and Ramos.  Our thanks to Cindy Henkels for hosting the 20th consecutive annual picnic at her home!

For more meeting and event information, visit the Calendar Page.

events

Hot Dog PartyMark August 18 on your calendar so you don’t miss this crowd favorite! TCMG members Kay and Larry Einhorn will be hosting one of their world-famous Chicago-themed hot dog parties at their home in Encino.  A driving tour will precede the party.

This is an RSVP event!  Please RSVP to the Einhorns if you plan to attend.  See flyer (in the mail) for RSVP information as well as meeting time and location.

July Recap: Our July picnic at the Channel Islands British Car Show in Oxnard had a good showing of TC members with first in class (TC-TF) going to the Simmons TC.  See the upcoming newsletter for more details.
