TC Provenance List Being Updated and Modernized by TCMG

The well known TC Provenance List was created by TC owner Bob Stein well over a decade ago.  Steve Simmons has assisted with data submissions and updates for the past few years but the list has grown too large to manage by hand.  TC Motoring Guild has jumped in to help update, modernize and maintain the list.  Two of our members, Mike Simmons and Steve Simmons are currently working to convert years of hand typed notes into a sorted and organized database of TC car numbers, owner names, locations and historical data.  The project will take a tremendous amount of man hours but the end result will be a fully modern and searchable database, hosted on the TCMG website.  You can see the old hand-typed Provenance List HERE until the new version is completed.

Conclave is Coming!

The 67th Annual TCMG / ARR Conclave will be held October 1-3 in Paso Robles. Look for information on the Calendar Page as well as in upcoming newsletters and group email.

Tight Competition for the Sargent Trophy!

The year is more than halfway over, and the battle for the Sargent Trophy has been fierce!  The top three competitors are separated by only 2 points, and all three have had a perfect attendance thus far. Could this be the first time we’ve awarded three Iron Bottoms in a single year?

meetings

Join us on October 24th for a very special presentation by TCMG member Tom Wilson. Tom will be speaking about early M.G. history and showing some rare factory photographs from the period. This meeting will be held online. More info to come…

September recap: 24 members and guests attended our September meeting (17 in person and 7 virtual). Five TCs were parked at the meeting driven by Edgar, Loe, S. Simmons, Zucca and Spiegel (display only). One additional TC drove a simulated 10 miles to the meeting (Lemieux).

Historic photos and stories are also being sought to expand our TCMG History section on the site. Please send what you have to Steve Simmons.
