As always we are seeking photos for the Members Gallery showing you and your TC. We also welcome member biographies so your fellow TCMG’ers can learn a bit about you, your history with your TC or anything else you care to write about. Historic photos and stories are also being sought to expand our TCMG History section on the site. Please send what you have to Steve Simmons.

On July 18, take a scenic drive along the Pacific Coast to the town of Camarillo where we visit the Commemorative Air Force Museum. Docents will guide us through the museum, which houses many aircraft from the WWII era as well as artifacts and displays. See aircraft from all corners of the globe including Mustang, Spitfire and Zero! Also others including Hellcat and Bearcat, and larger aircraft like B-25 and C-46. Lunch will follow at a restaurant located along the runway of the airport. A flyer in the mail will have further info. If you plan to attend this event, please let Steve Simmons know so we can tell the docents how many people to expect.

The much anticipated Summer Picnic Meeting at the Henkels home returns on June 25! Bring a picnic dinner and dine under the stars at this annual favorite. Dessert will be provided by our hostess. Those driving TCs or equally interesting classics (tall order) get preferred parking in the driveway. Note the earlier start time of 7:00 PM. Watch for a flyer in the mail with further information, or contact Cindy Henkels.

Our next monthly meeting will be held on February 26 at our usual Studio City location. TCMG member Richard Loe will be giving a “Part II” presentation on his varied collection of cars which includes four TCs! You won’t want to miss this glimpse into the Loe’s lifelong passion with classic cars.
Our next driving event will be the annual Lame Duk Kup in early February. Information on this event is forthcoming, including date, time and location. Stay tuned!
The first meeting of the year will be January 22nd at our usual Studio City location, featuring “Game Night”. Be there when the crowd favorite returns with your award-winning (through cheating) host, Gene Olson! Teams will compete for fabulous prizes (or not) by participating in another of Gene’s devious TC-related games.
Our much anticipated holiday party and annual meeting will be held on December 9 at Sportsman’s Lodge in Studio City! Doors open at 6PM. In addition to great company and lots of food, you will also enjoy the following entertainment and activities:
Our annual Halloween Party will be held at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 23 at our usual spot in Studio City. Try your hand at our Halloween-themed TC Funkhana and win fabulous prizes! Also partake in nominations for the 2018 TCMG Board. See the upcoming newsletter for additional details.
Our October event is the 62nd Annual Conclave of the TC Motoring Guild and Abingdon Rough Riders, which will be held October 12-14 in Fish Camp near Yosemite. See the latest newsletter for more information, or contact the event coordinator, Allan Chalmers.
Our September meeting will be held on the 25th at our usual Studio City location. The evening’s entertainment will include a once lost video entitled “Rally Round”. This video comedy was made during the 18th Annual San Diego Double Day event in 1989 and was shot by Gayne and Doug Wimer with help from several other TCMG members. It depicts a “typical” navigational rally of the time and stars many long-time TCMG personalities, many who are still members today. See the exploits of Belland, Bundy, Chalmers, Coleman, Crandall, Lutz, Roth, Schnaer, Simon, Wilmer and Wimer as they compete to win in this totally oddball production recently re-discovered and digitized by Allan Chalmers. Also included are lots of outtakes and behind the scenes footage that are just as entertaining as the video itself!
Our September driving event will take us on a multi-day adventure north along the Sierra Nevada Mountains, through Gold Country and across to Lake Tahoe for GoF West. This all-M.G. event runs September 10-14. See the
